• Open Market Day on 31 July 2010, from 10 until 2pm
• Positive Parenting Course on 27 August from 3 to 6pm. Follow up course on 3 September from 3 to 4h30. Pre-booking and registration essential
• Next First Aid Course by Safekids will be offered on 17 September 2h30 to 5h30 please book now.

A warm welcome to our new additional members who have joined governing body: Dr Kirsty Cohen (emergency doctor), Nicky Hoard (Montessori teacher), Sian Bottega and Debbie Allam on the building & maintenance side. Thanks to everybody for your wonderful contributions and support that makes Kidz Discovery so special.

The professional photographer, Deborah da Silva will be at Kidz Discovery from Monday 11 October 2010.

Building fund A comprehensive list of donations & raffle prizes for our Building Fund is displayed at the workshop. That afforded us this magnificent hot & cold aircon, and now the wonderful, imported sea theme climbing wall and crash pad. It is safe for children 8 years and under.

Special mention goes to Catia Baptista and Lyle Pettit for your incredibly generous donation of magnificent art. The Governing Body has created a Building Fund for Kidz Discovery. Thanks to Rupert Nicolay for the Expression Web software & CENS for installation and support. We are grateful to Alison Preston for the stove & kitchen cupboards and Nikki Beaumont for co-ordinating it. A special word of thanks to Bridgitte Hirschon for the hugely generous donation of shelving and making her teams available to assist and install cupboards and the new look kitchen; Mark Hyland for donating his superb plumbing expertise; to Antoinette Bishop for taking the initiative to redo the bathroom and nappy change facilities and Sian Bottega for the donation of grass to our garden and the numerous parents who make their resources available to upgrade the facility. Thanks Susan Anderson & SA-Media Productions for the stunning sign & banner and Chas Everitt for protecting our sand play and sponsoring notebooks for the Sensory Workshop. Annemarie Lombard's Sensory Intelligence course was a great success and will be offered again in the first term of 2009. Copies of her book are available for purchase at Kidz Discovery.
